AASE 2026 Board of Directors — Nominations Now Open

Step forward (or nominate someone) to help lead AASE.

The Association of Academic Support Educators is looking for engaged, committed, and outspoken leaders who can continue the work of AASE. We cannot thrive on legacy alone. We need new voices and new talents to continue the strong trajectory that our predecessors have begun.

Open Positions

The call for nominations/applications is now open for the following offices. All elected officer roles are functionally a two-year term (Year 1 in the elect role; Year 2 in the primary role). The Chief Diversity Officer is also a two-year role (no-elect position).

President-elect

Support AASE’s strategic direction and prepare to serve as President in Year 2.

2-year track Year 1: Elect

Treasurer-elect

Help steward resources and financial planning; transition into Treasurer in Year 2.

2-year track Year 1: Elect

Secretary-elect

Support governance documentation and Board operations; transition into Secretary in Year 2.

2-year track Year 1: Elect

Chief Diversity Officer

Advance inclusion and belonging across AASE initiatives, programming, and leadership.

2-year role No-elect

Board service has real impact.

AASE elected officers manage the resources and programming of our organization. Your Board service will directly impact a community that supports and encourages the scholarly exchange of ideas devoted to improving legal education and the status of academic support professionals.

The President will confirm eligibility and distribute the open ballot by this date.

Only 1 vote per eligible individual member.

Winners announced
Results will be shared during the annual conference.

Eligibility & Rules

  • Any dues-paid AASE member may submit a nomination or self-nominate.
  • Only Individual Members are eligible to be elected.
  • No one may run for more than one open position at a time.
  • All leadership roles are functionally for a two-year term (Year 1 in the elect role; Year 2 in the primary role).
  • The Chief Diversity Officer is also a two-year role, and no-elect position is in place for that role.

  • Office for which the person is being nominated/applying

If available

  • Link to the prospective nominee’s faculty page or law school profile page

Submitting a profile link helps members learn more about candidates when reviewing the slate.
